Testimonials

Website Accessibility is so Much Easier Now

“Equalize Digital has created a product that comes alongside me and encourages me and my site to do better when it comes to website accessibility. It helps me embrace what I should have embraced a long time ago. [S]ometimes you do something because it’s just the right thing to do. Web accessibility is one of those things. And until recently, it just felt too big for me. Too much to think about and stress about. But with Accessibility Checker Pro, they’ve made it easy for me to align my values and my effort.”

– Chris Lema
General Manager, LearnDash

Solid Plugin For Testing ADA Compliance

“This is a solid plugin for testing for Accessibility issues on a website. It is one of the three tools I use for testing each page I build. What is helpful is that it is actually on the website for the client to see. It is also useful for training my VA on accessibility as it points out the issues that need to be addressed. I use the Pro version but for those getting started building Accessible sites, this is a great tool.”

– Melanie Adcock
Lead Developer, Adcock Creative Group

The Yoda of Accessibility Plugins

“Accessibility is a priority for me and our team at Agent Engine. While I thought we had taken good steps toward being fully accessible, it was not enough. Thankfully, we did a full site scan using Accessibility Checker Pro and found several errors/flags that we were able to remedy. Not only is our website more accessible, I learned a lot about by going through this process. I highly recommend this plugin for anyone who has a website—from solo creator to small business.”

– Brian Gardner
Founder, Agent Engine & Principal Developer Advocate, WP Engine

An Impressive Addition to Your a11y Toolkit with Great Documentation

“[It] performs 40 FORTY! accessibility checks. Your site might still not be perfect, but passing these tests is a great baseline. The most amazing part of Accessibility Checker, is in my opinion the in-depth explanations of issues, why they are an issue, and actual real world recommendations on how to fix them. Such good advice is rarely seen in free tools like this.”

– Bjarne Oldrup
Professional Blogger & WordPress Enthusiast

Super Helpful!

“Having known about (and written about) Accessibility, I kind of figured my sites were already in good shape. Accessibility Checker helps me plug any holes I have, as well as helps me understand accessibility better so I can deliver the best website for everyone in my audience.”

– Joe Casabona
Blogger, Podcaster, & Developer, How I Built It

I Use This on Every Single Website!

“I’m new to implementing accessibility to my projects and this plugin is such a gem that I install it on every website I make, not just during development but also for monitoring and making sure new contents are accessible. Highly recommended to have this on your projects to make your websites much, much better.”

Common Pre-Sale Questions

Does Accessibility Checker scan non-WordPress websites?

Currently, Accessibility Checker is a WordPress-specific accessibility auditing tool and it cannot scan non-WordPress websites. We may expand into other content management systems in the future, but for now are focused on making the best native WordPress accessibility scanner.

Does Accessibility Checker work on WordPress.com?

Yes! We have active users who are using both the free and paid versions of Accessibility Checker on their WordPress.com websites. In order to be able to install Accessibility Checker on WordPress.com, you must have a WordPress.com Business (paid) account, which supports third-party plugins. If you do not have a Business plan, Accessibility Checker cannot be used.

Please note that your remediation options may be more limited on a WordPress.com account and it may be necessary for you to migrate to a different host in order to make your website fully accessible.

What support is included?

Equalize Digital provides free support on plugin usage and features for all users. Users on a free plan receive support via the WordPress.org support forum. Users on a paid plan receive email support and may open a support ticket at any time.

Please note, software support is limited to providing assistance in using the plugin, including information about functionality and troubleshooting assistance. Email or forum-based support does not include assistance resolving any specific accessibility issues that have been identified.

Can you help me figure out how to fix an error or warning on my website?

We know that accessibility remediation is not always easy – especially in WordPress sites built with a multitude of different plugins and themes. To help make accessibility fixes easier, we have multiple options for support.

Small business and enterprise plans include the ability to join two accessibility office hours calls each month. These are group Zoom calls for open Q&A with an accessibility specialist. Enterprise plans include the ability to schedule a 1-hour private Zoom consultation each month.

If you need help fixing problems, we offer larger support packages that include more access to our accessibility specialists and developers for in-depth auditing, user testing, and remediation.

What are license keys used for?

License keys connect your site to ours, allowing us to send you automatic updates for the software. Updates include the addition of new features, bug fixes, and checker rule modifications to maintain compliance as Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) change. Additionally, an active license is required to use features included with our free plans.

If you are using the free version of Accessibility Checker, you will not have a license key.

On how many sites can I activate my license key?

License keys can be activated on one or multiple websites depending upon the package that you have purchased. You can deactivate your license key and move it to another site at any time. This can be done through the website where you are deactivating the license or on the License Keys page in your account.

Development or localhost URLs are excluded from license key restrictions. Learn more about how we identify development URLs.

How are licenses renewed?

License keys are subscription-based and will automatically renew every month or year based upon your plan selection, using the same payment method that you used for the original purchase. You can modify or cancel your subscription at any time.

If you decide to cancel, you may do so on the Manage Subscriptions page of your account dashboard.

What if I don’t want to subscribe?

Your subscription can be canceled at any time after purchase. Once canceled, your license key will not renew automatically and will expire on the expiration date. Once expired, you will no longer receive automatic updates or have access to support. You may manually renew your license at any time to reactivate your subscription.

Do I lose functionality if my license key is not active?

To utilize paid Accessibility Checker features (professional, small business, and enterprise plans), receive updates for our paid plugin and add-ons, and to receive support, you do need to have an active license key. If your license key has expired, you can continue to use the free version of Accessibility Checker but will lose access to premium features and will no longer be able to receive support outside of the WordPress.org support forums.

Can I change the website my license is associated with?

Yes, you can deactivate any currently registered site(s) on the License Keys page of your account dashboard, after which you will be able to activate the license on a new site.

Can I request a refund?

You are more than welcome to request a refund within 30 days of your original purchase date. Please view our full terms and conditions for more details on our refund policy.
