Our Story
Since 2010, Road Warrior Creative, led by Amber and Chris Hinds, has been designing and developing websites and web applications for nonprofits, K-12 and higher education institutions, government agencies, and Fortune 500 companies.
User experience has always been a primary focus of our work, and we’ve had the opportunity to experience first-hand the importance of accessible websites. From our desire to make a larger impact within the world of web design and development, Equalize Digital was born.
More than 1 billion people in the world and 1 in 4 American adults have a disability which may prevent them from using or interacting with the online world in a traditional manner. As a creator of websites, applications, and digital content, we believe it is our social responsibility to ensure everything we build or create is usable by people of all abilities.
Too many website designers and web development agencies fail to consider accessibility as they design and develop projects for clients. The services we offer are specially targeted to filling this accessible web gap, whether it’s providing accessibility remediation and education or developing websites designed and coded from an accessibility-first perspective.

Our Values
From day one, we have been a purpose- and values-driven company. Equalize Digital strives to be a catalyst for positive change on the web and in how we do business – that’s why we’re a Certified B Corp. Everything we do is driven by our core values:
Our products and services are offered with the intent of improving quality life for all people – from our team members to our clients and the public. As a website and web application development company, our products have the direct ability to impact the end user’s quality of life.
Additionally, our business model is one which supports team members in having a positive, work-life balance and prioritizes creating jobs that pay a living wage to U.S.-based employees. Our team has been remote since day one. We believe in being present for our clients, but we also believe in taking afternoons off to watch a school play, Friday happy hours at a local brewery, and weekends camping in the woods. Our team members work from home and have flexibility in defining a schedule that works for them – without the commute.
We believe in always putting people first.
In every interaction, we strive to increase impact and add long-term value for our clients and their customers, as well as for our team members. Whether big or small, we consider each project to be the beginning of an ongoing partnership. We value our clients and team members as individuals.
We believe it is important to bring team members on as W-2 employees with full-benefits (including for part-time) rather than work with a string of contractors.
Knowledge is power.
Education and training are a core part of our services. We create tools that give control back to our clients – even without coding knowledge – and we happily include training on how to use those tools with each project and proposal.
We support our team members’ professional development, through tuition reimbursement and travel/conference fee reimbursements. We believe that placing education at the center of what we do empowers our clients and team members, builds trust, and grows long-lasting working relationships.
We place a priority on giving back to our community, both locally and across the U.S. We believe that businesses can only be successful when they are engaged in making the world a better place.
We value the people and organizations around us and are committed to giving back through teaching, mentoring, volunteering, discounted services, and donations. We offer a 10% discount on all products and services for 501(c)(3) nonprofits and every year we develop a free custom website for a nonprofit nominated and voted upon by the public. Our team members receive paid leave each year for volunteering with an organization of their choice.
Success is not found, it’s made. We value action and believe that there is no better day than today to get started. Carpe diem.
We believe in setting goals and meeting them. We don’t let fear of failure hold us back. We believe in taking risks, trying new things, and advocating for a better internet starting now.
Our actions can bring change, and we believe in inspiring others to be change agents in their organization. We love working with clients who are committed to making their business or nonprofit more accessible, and who understand there is no time better than the present to get started.
