This article outlines the minimum requirements (PHP and WordPress versions) for installing ArchiveWP, as well as the instructions for downloading and installing the plugin.
Minimum Requirements
PHP Version
ArchiveWP requires PHP 7.4 or above. You can ask your host how to upgrade your PHP version if you’re unsure how to do so.
WordPress Version
ArchiveWP requires WordPress 6.6 or above.
Downloading ArchiveWP
Once you have purchased ArchiveWP, you can download the software from:
- The order confirmation page.
- A link in your purchase receipt email.
- The Downloads page in your My Equalize Digital account.
Emailed download links only work for 3 days. If you need to re-download ArchiveWP after the original link has expired, visit the downloads page in your account.
Note: If you use Safari, the file may be automatically unzipped upon download. If this happens, you will need to re-zip it to install on your website.
Installing ArchiveWP
Automatic Installation
Automatic installation is the easiest way to install ArchiveWP. After downloading the plugin file, follow these steps to install it on your website:
- Log in to your WordPress admin dashboard.
- Go to the plugins page and select “Add New”.
- Click the “Upload Plugin” button.
- Find the
archivewp.zipfile on your computer. - Click “Install Now”.
- If asked to confirm that you want to install the plugin, click “Yes”.
- After the plugin is installed, click the “Active” button.
- Follow the steps for first-time configuration.
Manual Installation
- Unzip the
archivewp.zipfile on your computer. - Upload the unzipped
archivewpfolder to the/wp-content/plugins/directory on your website via FTP. - Log in to your WordPress admin dashboard.
- Go to the plugins page and click “Activate” on ArchiveWP in your plugins list.
- Follow the steps for first-time configuration.
