PDF documents on the web can be made accessible if the proper techniques are applied – but even then, there are some things to watch out for. TPGi’s Principal Technical Writer, Ricky Onsman, highlights some problems and solutions.
These meetups take place via Zoom and are live captioned. You must register to attend via Zoom.
Ricky Onsman is the Principal Technical Writer at TPGi’s Knowledge Center. A veteran Australian designer, front-end developer, writer, and editor, his web experience extends to 30 years. He’s filled senior writing, editing, and marketing roles for the likes of UX Australia, SitePoint, Web Directions and Smashing Magazine. He spent 15 years as a freelance designer and front-end developer focused on building accessible websites (mostly WordPress) for a range of clients and then worked with several web design, UX, and accessibility-focused companies in Australia, North America, and Europe before joining the global team at TPGi, where he works on the rules, test procedures and solutions for accessibility auditors and engineers.
