DESCRIPTION:The most common question regarding accessibility is\, “How bad is a given site\, and what’s it going to take to fix it?” Most people would like to get at least a ballpark answer without spending $1\,000. This session will cover how we use a quick audit to answer these common questions and move forward on solving accessibility issues. \n\nHow accessible or inaccessible is a given website?\nHow do you determine your major pain points?\nHow do you identify which parts of your site are causing the most accessibility issues?\nHow do you use this information to choose what direction to take in remediating the site?\n\n\nThese meetups take place via Zoom and are live captioned. You must register to attend via Zoom. \nAbout Gen Herres\n\nGen Herres is the owner of Anphira\, LLC\, and organizes the Baltimore WordPress meetup group. Before getting into WordPress development more than a decade ago\, Gen was a developer for Boeing on the B-1 Bomber and a lecturer at Ohio State University in the computer science department. \nGen has been featured in podcasts and won the 2022 Member of the Year award in the #1 WordPress community. She is very active in WordPress groups\, encouraging other developers & designers.
